April 2002

News for Sunday April 28, 2002 · poll results / new poll

Dear Vga Planets Fans,

here are the poll results from our last poll.

Question: After how many turns of non-playing shall a player be dropped from the games?

Results (sorted):
34% - 3 turns
19% - 5 turns
18% - 4 turns
17% - 6 turns
7% - 9 turns or more
3% - 1 turn
1% - 2 turns
1% - 7 turns
0% - 8 turns

We will now change settings to drop players after 3 consecutive turns of not playing in a game. Thanks for your participation.

Our new poll deals with an important question for us how to continue our hosting service by adjusting the costs we currently have with it.

With over 60 games and more than 450 players Echocluster.com has become one of the biggest Vga Planets Hosting sites on the net. We are spending much time and commitment in the project which means much fun but also much work every day. However we'd like continuing it the way it is - or better: improve it more and more from day to day. This is why we set up this poll to see what you think our hosting service is worth for you.

News for Saturday April 27, 2002 · Stolen Goods Game

Be greeted Galactic Traveller,

we have adjusted the game-configuration for Stolen Goods. The game now offers much more minerals and the hosting schedule has been downgraded to 48hours hosting. Join now!

Stolen Goods :: profi game, every 48 hours schedule, nice addons - first game with the new TOURNGEN program programmed by [Relic]. Tourngen is a simple program to generate 11 matching cone or wedge shaped arms and a random inner core of planets. Each of the arms will contain the same amount and types of minerals and natives, but they will not be on the exact same planet positions. Basically, each arm is generated exactly the same as the other and then data for each arm is jumbled around. As for the core planets they are generated randomly. Join the fun now!
