News for Tuesday June 26, 2001 · new features & files files files ...

Dear Vga Planets Fans,

The last week has brought us many new releases by Tim. Host 3.22.030 isn't by far the last release. THost V3.22.035 is the latest released host version after facing some new errors. The new .035 is working quite stable now and fixes most errors and cheats.
Also some new race updates and a Host update were released for Vga Planets V4. Be sure to check out the V4 download section to keep uptodate!

Players of this host may have already found out the new options in their private player-profiles. You can now skip games, have your RST resend and ally / break ally with other races automatically with only some mouse clicks. Try it out and have fun playing one of the safest drugs called Vga Planets! :-)

News for Monday June 18, 2001 · new THost, new games, icq active list

Dear Vga Planets Fans,

Think about the following: Some guy found a strange bug in Vga Planets allowing players to cheat through building planetary structures while they are already at max. Of course this is something Tim Wisseman does not like to see and so he released 3 (three !) new host versions in the last two days. So actual THost is now V3.22.030 . Hope this will fix all known bad bugs - and if not we know there's Tim to count on! ;-)

New Host-version has been added to download section for you to download and of course all games on this Host will now be hosted with the newest version available!

Beside this all three new games have started to take off:
Glittering Prizes, Circle of Death, The First Quest

We wish all participants much fun in the games and may the best ones win!

We have opened three new games for players still searching for excitement:
Civilisations, Space Cadets, Astra Galaxy

Feel free to check them out and sign in if you'd like to!

Also we have added something new: The ICQ active List! If you are using the ICQ-communication software and you take a look at the right side of this site, you find a link how to add the active list to your ICQ panel. Instead of adding each user seperately to you ICQ you can chat with other Vga Planets Fans in the active list, read hot news, etc. Just try it it - you won't regret it!

Beside some additions & changes in many sections like: rules (!), faq, info supply, etc. we've made some technical improvements on the hosting service which make registering to host, joining games and changing profile easier and faster.

Dear Vga Planets Fans,

I'm proud to present you some new features for all players of this Host. After some hard work the last days the private areas for each player are now finally online. You can check out your private area by clicking on "login private area" in your public player profile. Of course the area is protected with your username/password - so only you can access it to change your profile.
Also some additions to the profiles were made like version and "last contact". New players may choose now out of 10 different player-portraits on sign up. Already registered players may choose another in their private area.

As a new feature for ALL Vga Planets Fans I want to introduce the SETI@home project to you. If you are interested in Extraterrestrial Intelligence try this official free project everybody can participate.

Dear Vga Planets Fans,

A new update is bringing you new gameplay features on the website, new links, new downloads and much more!

Your personal picture is now shown on your player-profile page (if you have a personal picture selected on sign up) and the download archive was splitted to v3/v4 downloads and filled with the newest Vga Planets V4.0 Beta files.

We are currently working on the 'private area' for each player. We want every player to have her/his private area be password protected (with your player-password) so you can be sure nobody else than you can access your data. We hope this is also in your sense. We expect a secure release in the next days.

Lost World game ended on sunday. The winners:

1st place: DC
